On a good note...

I finally gave in and made a Fat Bottom Bag! The only thing I don't like about it was I had 7" bamboo handles instead of 5" handles and they look way too big for it. I'm sure somebody will like it though! Or if it doesn't sell I can just ship it to my sister. She likes brown and that's what color it is. :) My BF thought I was making a HUGE football for him and when I said it will be a bag he was disappointed..lol But he did say that it turned out really cute! He even held it for me when I took pictures last night! :) It looked good against his red shirt :)

And remember that Scarf and Mittens set I did. Yeah the roach coach lady never came back. So now they are going to the book store to be sold. I hate when people special order something and then never commit to it! That's our time and yarn people! I don't even know if anybody is going to want this huge scarf. I'm probably going to have to take it apart for something else. At least with yarn you can take it a part and reuse it. :)

OH OH And something else... I got my winnings from Mini for Bingo today! I got the Knit-Wit kit, a Doodle-Loom, a cute little orange good luck troll, and 2 Patons SWS in natural denim...I LOVE BLUE!! Mini is the best!! I've never used wool before either. I was thinking it would make a wonderful felt clutch purse! I just need to find a pattern, and learn how to felt...LOL I can't wait to go home and use it. It sure did chear me up a bit! and boy did I need that!

Well till next time...

Happy Crocheting!

congrats on finishing the fat bottom. i've been wanting to make one for a while now but haven't found a pattern (if it's even needed). i've never seen on one up close.
sorry to hear about the lady not coming back, perhaps something came up? some one suggested that i take a partial payment for custom orders, that way the person has to come back or be out of the deposit. how are sales at the book store?
i'm sitting and trying to catch up on reading blogs while i crochet some quick dishcloths to put on etsy, i've kind of abandoned it. =-/

On the rare occasion where I crochet something for someone else as an order, I always require the cost of materials up front. That way if they boob out on you, you're only out your time - which is precious, I know, but having the materials covered helps it to go down a bit easier.

I'm glad you like your bingo prize! I'll be anxious to see what you make with the SWS :o)
