PATTERN TESTING PHASE! :)
Materials: I used worsted weight yarn and an I hook but any weight yarn with appropriate hook will work.
Size: 7 1/2 inches from side to side
One hexagon needs about 42 yards
Stitches used:
(Beginning cluster) ch 3, yo, insert hook in ring, yo (3 loops left on hook)
yo bring through 2 loops on hook (2 loops left on hook)
yo, insert hook in ring, yo,(4 loops left on hook)
yo bring through 2 loops on hook (3 loops left on hook)
yo bring through last 3 loops on hook. Beg. cluster made.
(cluster) yo, insert hook in ring, yo (3 loops left on hook)
yo bring through 2 loops (2 loops left on hook)
yo, insert hook in ring, yo,(4 loops left on hook)
yo bring through 2 loops on hook (3 loops left on hook)
yo,, insert hook in ring, yo (5 loops on hook)
yo, bring through 2 loops on hook (4 loops on hook)
yo bring through last 4 loops on hook. Cluster Made
Hexagon
Ch 5, sl st into first ch to make ring
Rnd 1. Beg. cluster, ch 3, *Cluster, ch 3* repeat from * to * 5 more times, sl st into beg. cluster. (6 clusters)
Rnd 2. Sl st into next ch 3 sp, beg. cluster, ch 2, cluster, ch 2 in same ch space, *cluster, ch 2, cluster ch 2* in next ch space and in each ch space around, sl st into to of beg. cluster. (12 clusters)
Rnd 3. sl st into next ch 2 space, beg. cluster, ch 2, cluster, ch 2, in same ch 2 space, in next ch space, *cluster, ch 2, next ch space cluster, ch 2, cluster, ch 2*, repeat from * to * all the way around and sl st into top of beg. cluster (18 clusters)
Rnd 4. sl st into next ch space, beg *cluster, ch 2, cluster, ch 2 in same ch space, cluster, ch 2, in next 2 ch spaces*. Repeat from * to * around, sl st into top of beg. cluster (24 clusters)
Rnd 5. sl st into next ch space, beg *cluster, ch 2, cluster, ch 2 in same ch space, cluster, ch 2, in next 3 ch spaces*. Repeat from * to * around, sl st into top of beg cluster (30 clusters)
Rnd 6. ch 1, sc in same space, 2 sc, ch 1, 2 sc in next ch space (and in all corner spaces). sc in top of cluster, 2 sc in each ch space around, sl st into fist sc, bind off, weave in ends
If you would like a bigger hexagon just leave off round 6 and keep increasing until it is the size you would like. Same with a smaller hexagon, just leave off a few increase rows and skip to round 6. Possabilities are endless :)

Thank you for the pattern.
Lovely pattern, just starting a football blanket for my nephew. Can you let me know how to do the half bits please? Many thanks, Rosy
Beautiful! Would you please provide instructions on how to join together?
